Why Try Life-Skills Program: Student Assistance and Peer Support
Prevention Specialists serve as a link to the school and a network of community agencies providing peer support services to students who are interested in developing healthy life-skills to enhance their academic and/or social performance.
The Purpose of peer support is to assist any and all students in need of additional life-skills training.
Peer support is provided using evidence-based strategies and/or programs which have been chosen to meet the needs of the students and school.
Students who are having more high-risk issues will be referred to someone who can provide a higher level of care.
