I grew up in Beaver here in Southern Utah. I originally planned on going up to Northern Utah, but ended up staying in Southern Utah to go to Utah Tech. I am planning on staying here to finish my degree and then heading up North for my master program.

Why I chose prevention:
I started prevention work my Freshman year of high school. I always really loved the idea of stopping something before it happens. I joined my school’s youth coalition and fell in love with prevention. I got to see the change it brought to our school and even the community. After graduating I knew I wanted to continue to work in prevention. I found a job opening and the rest is history!
